Privacy Policy

Account information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect the information needed to authenticate and identify you: your name and email address; your phone number, if you sign in or verify your account using SMS-based one-time codes; basic profile information from Google or Apple if you choose “Continue with Google” or “Continue with Apple” (name, email address, and a unique account identifier — we never receive your Google or Apple password); and a profile photo and company name/logo, if you choose to upload one.

Project and client information you provide

The Service lets you create architectural/tent layout designs and generate proposal documents. In the course of doing so, you may enter information about your own clients — such as a client’s name, email address, phone number, and company details — directly into the app. This information is provided by you, is visible only to your account, and is used solely to populate the documents and layouts you create. You are responsible for having the right to share this information with us on your client’s behalf.

Design and usage data

We store the layouts, configurations, dimensions, and related project data you create in the app, along with any images you attach to a layout (for example, a logo or a reference image) and the PDF documents the app generates from your designs.

Automatically collected information

Like most cloud-connected apps, our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) automatically logs standard technical information needed to operate the Service securely and reliably — such as IP address, device and app version, and general diagnostic/error information. We do not currently use any advertising or analytics SDK, and we do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

We use the information described above to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Store, sync, and let you retrieve the layouts and documents you create
• Send you account-related communications, such as a one-time verification code you requested
• Provide customer support when you contact us
• Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We rely on the following third-party service providers to operate the app. Each processes data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) — hosts our database, file storage, and backend logic
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — if you choose to sign in with either, used only to authenticate you
• Vercel — hosts the batents.app web application

Your data is stored on Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure and protected by access-control rules that restrict each user’s data to that user’s own account. We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), to protect information as it moves between your device and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we work to use commercially reasonable means to protect your information.

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the Service to you. If you delete your account, your profile and associated data are removed from our active systems; some information may be retained for a limited period where necessary for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes (for example, fraud prevention).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for a specific processing activity, where consent is the basis for that processing

You can update most account information directly within the app. To request deletion of your account or exercise any other right described here, contact us at support@batents.app.

The Service is intended for business use by adults (architects, contractors, and similar professionals) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where this occurs, we rely on our providers’ own compliance safeguards (such as Google/Firebase’s standard contractual protections) for these transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
